Ironwood Development Company was founded in May of 2006 by Thomas B. McGowan IV.
Brett R. Davis joined the company as a partner and President in June of 2007.
By leveraging the legal, real estate and financial experience of its founders,
Ironwood Development Company is able to accelerate the real estate investment
and development process and create opportunities and financial returns forgone
by less agile and experienced development companies.
A life long Cleveland area resident, Mr. Davis has over 12 years of real
estate experience in property sales, commercial leasing, investment banking,
and construction lending. During his career he has worked for prestigious
financial institutions including McDonald & Company, Fifth Third Bank and most
recently National City Bank.
Mr. McGowan, a well-known Cleveland entrepreneur, has started many
successful businesses throughout the United States and continues to
lead The McGowan Companies, a conglomerate of insurance and financial
services companies, headquartered in Fairview Park, Ohio. One of The
McGowan Companies, McGowan & Company, Inc., is one of the nation's premier
underwriters of insurance for real estate owners, community associations,
and municipal entities.
